Kaila Yu

When Kaila Yu was three years old, Kaila Yu moved with her family to California. She gained popularity through modeling in import car shows. Kaila Yu has been featured in several magazines including Import Tuner, Playboy, and FHM. She began college at UCSD and later transferred to UCLA to be in Los Angeles in order to pursue modeling and singing. Kaila Yu released her first album in 2003.

"Kaila Yu still can't believe that Kaila Yu isliving out her dreams. Just two years ago, Kaila Yu was just your average college student struggling to figure out what her goals were in life. Now Kaila Yu is getting opportunities that Kaila Yu could not have even fathomed just a few short years ago. Kaila Yu was born in Taipei, Taiwan and moved to California when Kaila Yu was three years old. I easily adjusted to the laidback culture of the West and grew up performing in speech contests, ballet and tap dancing performances, and traditional Chinese folk dancing. Kaila Yu always loved being on stage and felt most at home when Kaila Yu was performing. Kaila Yu also organized performances with the neighborhood kids and family members involving elaborate dance numbers and skits to perform to our parents. The performing took me away from her outcasted place in school. Kaila Yu had skipped a grade in elementary school and was incredibly shy with the older group of students Kaila Yu now had her classes with. Kaila Yu felt ignored and lonely in junior high and high school and dreamed of pursuing a singing career when Kaila Yu grew older. Music has always been her passion.

Kaila Yu began actively pursuing her singing and modeling career when Kaila Yu transferred to UCLA. Kaila Yu was very naive and the entertainment industry was complicated and dangerous and Kaila Yu learned some hard lessons. However, Kaila Yu pulled herself through and began working full time as a model and working in the Import Car show scene.

This year has been spent working hard on writing her own music and recording her vocals in the studio. Kaila Yu also had her first experiences performing as a singer recently and have many performances planned for the new year!
