It’s dark…No matter how wide I open my eyes…

Jaejoong runs as the black cape of his, fluttering on the air, leaving his shadows on the pale and wet cobblestones of the underground passage. He doesn’t have much time left. His sweat and worried face can’t he hides anymore, like what his expressionless face always does. His heart beats impatiently, quicker than his step.
Indeed. His heart is aching when he remembers Yunho’s words toward him, the words that have been echoing in his mind for the entire one month, since Yunho left him. It’s piercing his soul, but he must get ‘there’ as soon as possible.
A figure of wooden mossy door comes from the end of the passage. Jae opens it slowly, trying to peek inside. He finds what he’s searching for. He tries to see Yunho’s position, but he can’t from his current angle.
“It’s OK. You don’t need to be afraid. The transformation will end in a blink eyes…” an old heavy voice that Jae knows for a long time said. He refers to call the owner of the voice…the doctor…the doctor that created him from planting the undead cell into his body…
Jae can’t hear Yunho’s voice, but he can hear Yunho’s mumbling. Jae opens the door widely and it caused a loud voice. He enters the room as all the eyes staring at him.
“I’ve been expecting your return…my beautiful creation…” the doctor grinned widely, showing his obvious insanity.
“You need to stop this…You can’t make another ‘me’,” Jae said as he looks at Yunho who’s lying weakly on the table, or rather we say, experiment table. His legs and hands are tightening by a rope; his mouth is covered by a thick fabric.
“Jae…Jae…Do you really think U can stop me?” the doctor asked as he moves closer to the device near Yunho,” Don’t you want…a ‘mate’?”
“Don’t ever say that word again!” Jae said as he points his gun to the doctor’s head. Jae really pissed off. He hates the word ‘mate’.
“You never learn, don’t you?”
“Look out!!!” Yunho shouted when he finally succeeds in opening the fabric on his mouth.
Jae’s body smashed into the wall. A figure known as the ‘fallen,’ walks toward him. It makes Jae feels disgusted; the fact that he and that figure aren’t so different after all. Jae spilled some blood. The pressure he got just now was way too much for his body to handle it, especially because he hasn’t ‘eaten’ for the entire one month.
“Jaejoong!!!” Yunho called histerically.
Jaejoong doesn’t answer, he’s too weak, and his condition really has worsened. Even thought, the ‘fallen’ is a failed experiment, the doctor seems to improve their power successfully, the super inhuman power.
“Let’s start, shall we?” the doctor said as he starts to push some buttons. The green stinking liquid runs through the small water canal. Its direction is Yunho.
“No!” Jae shouted as he rushes toward Yunho. The ‘fallen’ heads off him and tries to punch him, but Jae slides below it and manages to kick the doctor away. He immediately uses his hidden knife from his pocket, to cut the water canal connection. He cuts all the rope that tightens Yunho’s body.
Suddenly, Yunho pushes Jae and rolls his body into the floor, avoiding the destructive punch from the ‘fallen’.
“Grrr…” the ‘fallen’ seems to be angrier.
“You really give me no choice, Jae…Kill them!!! Don’t let them get away!!!” the doctor ordered as he gets up from the floor. He runs toward the stair, going up, escaping and leaving Jaejoong and Yunho…with the creature…
“Sigh…sigh…” Jae feels it’s so hard to breath. He’s lying on the floor, the result of Yunho pushed him just now, but also the push that saved him. He tries to get up, but he immediately falls down again. His wound from the earlier smash, gets worsen.
The creature looks at Jae; he walks toward him, ready to break Jae’s body apart with his step. Jae can’t move; he’s too weak.
I’m going to die, aren’t I?... “Taste this!” Yunho shouted as he firing the creature with an irritating chemical. The creature screams in pain, it walks back, escaping into the dark tunnel.
“Jae!” Yunho runs and pulls Jae’s body. It’s shockingly cold.
“Jae, hang in there!” Yunho calls Jae’s name again; this time, Jae responses by opening his eyelids. Yunho is busy to take his cellphone from his pocket, calling an emergency help.
Jae smiles weakly, and then he said,” I…thought…you would never…call…my name again.” Yunho feels the guilty eats him. He’s really hurt the man in his embraces so much, the man that he loves so much, his first love. He thought, he was really going to die just now or turned into a monster by the doctor’s experiment. But, his love saved him.
[FLASHBACK]
It was a raining Wednesday night. Yunho was running to the source of the commotion. It’s his job to take care of the safety as a police officer of Romania. He had worked for five years at the Transylvania; the city of famous myth.
“Don’t move!” Yunho pointed his gun to the figure in front of him. They’re in a small passage, between the buildings. An unconscious man was dying in front of the figure. The figures turned back, revealing his true face which covered with blood, especially his mouth. His fangs could be seen clearly, despite the darkness of the night. Yunho recognized him, for god sake, it’s his fiancé. He just proposed him a few days ago.
“Jae…joong?!” Yunho asked confusedly. He’s afraid, too afraid to ask more, he knew something was wrong about Jae since he met him. But, his love for him made him blind. Jae’s pale skin mixed perfectly with his dark clothing that he always wearing. The rosy and kissable lips were covered with blood now, human blood.
“You aren’t human, are you?” Yunho asked as he put his gun down.
“Yunho…” Jae called softly. He looked down, too afraid because he knew what was coming next.
“WHY?! WHY?! JAE! You tricked me!” Yunho shouted angrily. He thought, he really thought that Jae really loved him. But, Jae just pretended to be in love with him, to gain more access to find his ‘food’. Vampire needed human blood after all; Jae could use Yunho’s authorities to gain more, since Yunho was the leader of all the police in Transylvania.
“Yun, listen…” Jae tried to speak, but Yunho wouldn’t let him.
“I hate you, Jaejoong…You use my love…I hate you!!!” Yunho said as he pointed his guns into Jae’s forehead. Jae stunned. He didn’t move an inch. They stayed at the same pose for a couple of minutes.
“Go away…” Yunho said as he turned back, leaving Jaejoong.
“Yunho…” Jae called like he was crying; Yunho didn’t dare to turn his sight to Jae.
“I SAID GO AWAY YOU MONSTER!!!” Yunho shouted as he ran, leaving Jaejoong in the rain.
[END OF THE FLASHBACK]
Yunho tears flooded. He was wrong, and he knows it now.
“Yun, you don’t need…to cry…for a…monster like…me…” Jae said hardly. He can feel his sight blurred. His wound hurt so much.
“No! Jae, you’re not monster! You’re beautiful…” Yunho said as he hugs Jaejoong, tightens his arm around him, securing Jaejoong, making sure that Jae won’t leave him. But, blood likes flooding on the floor. Jae knows that some of his ribs were broken when the ‘fallen’ smashed him. He can feel his end.
“Yunho…I just want you to know that…my love for you…it’s true…I…really…love you…” Jae said weakly. His body temperature really drops.
“Jae! Jaejoong ah…I’m…really sorry…” Yunho cried out loud. He knows that Jae hasn’t feed himself with human blood for such a long time. It’s shown by his so white pale skin and the dark spot below his eyes. It’s the sign of starving vampire, well; Yunho knows it from the myth he read though. But, it’s true, isn’t it? Jae hasn’t drunk human blood for one month...It’s just too much for a vampire to handle, even though they’re vampire…
Yunho takes a knife that Jae used to free him; he cuts his artery, leaving fresh blood coming out from it. He sucks it until his mouth is full, then he kisses Jae; using his own mouth to feed Jae. Jae jerks a little, but then, he drinks it. Yunho keeps doing it for a couple of time.
“Yun, enough…” Jae whispered weakly. Yunho looks at the figures in front of him. It looks better now, Jae wound has healed. Vampires heal if they drink blood. Jae is sleeping so tightly in Yunho arm.
“I don’t care who or what you are, Jae…I will always love you…I won’t leave you, I promise…” Yunho said as he hugs Jae.
You were wrong and I was wrong…
I know we’re different…
But, that doesn’t mean we can't be together…
We’re meant to be…
I love you and you love me…
It’s perfect, isn’t it?
