CHAPTER 1

“My name is Lee Sungmin (18), I’ve been staying in the rehab for 3 months now. The reason is I had an amnesia because of the physical trauma that I’ve experienced. It’s been a year & a half since the accident. Even if I already remember things about myself and my family, there are still some memories I can’t remember… When I ask for things that had happened to me they would always answer that they would just give some exercises and I’ll be the one to discover it on my own. That’s what the doctor says, the reason is if they told me something about my past it would just make me have a hard time to recall them & that would just make me depress & the rehabilitation harder. Now I’ve discovered things from the past that I never thought I would recall again. But because of the help of the rehabilitation I now recover ALL the memories that I have, that’s what I thought…. Until….”

“Welcome home!” they greeted me as I entered the house.

“Hyung, do you still remember your room. It’s on the second floor, the room at the right” dragging me towards my room.

“Of course, you think your brother is that forgetful?”

“Aniyo” he answered as he opens the door of my room.

But to tell him the truth, I can’t even recognize if there were changes that had happened to the house or even just my room.

“Hyung!”

“Ne?”

“You know what! I helped mom clean your room. It was so dusty & dirty but still I helped”

“Really? That’s really nice of you. Kamsahamnida”  *smiles*

“Sungjin! Sungmin! Dinner’s ready”

“Okay”

“Sungjin, you go first hyung will have to unpack first. I’ll just follow tell mom”

“Okay. Hyung do it fast, I have many things to tell you” left running excitedly.

“As I was unpacking and looking at some things… I saw a familiar notebook in my drawer, and as I was scrolling it… oh now I remember… this is my diary, silly me… It’s really been a long time... as I was reading, I started to laugh & cry. There were funny things… also sad things… but there were pages about some girl named Ahyeon…. It was all about her…  But why can’t I remember anything about her. Who is she? I cant recall knowing her or seeing her. And if I know her, surely she would try to visit me, but I never heard anything about her… and I can't understand what's the meaning of the last note that I have written….”

18th of February

   Tomorrow we’ll be together, we’ll spend the time of our lives with each other,
and no one will trouble us.

“Sungmin!” suddenly my mom called for me.

“Coming!” I answered as I left the room looking at the diary & still curious.

Who must she be?

Chapter 2

“I left the room still thinking about that girl, Ahyeon & the last thing that I have written in my diary. I thought I already know everything about the past, but why can’t I remember anything about this girl. Ahyeon? Ahyeon?”

Suddenly I bump against the wall that woke me up from my deep thoughts. They suddenly rush towards me.

“Are you okay?” mom asked worriedly.

“I’m fine, It's just that I wasn’t aware that there’s a wall here. It’s really been awhile, so many changes in the house.” shaking my head.

“Hyung, what are you saying? It’s always been there.”

that made me burst out laughing.“I was only joking.”

“Are sure that you're okay? Nothing hurts?” asked dad while helping me stand up.

“I said I’m fine.  I was just thinking about something that I didn’t realize that I was going to bump.” I answered in a high voice.

“You didn’t have to answer me in that tone.”

“Well if you don’t want to be answered like that, just stop talking” ever since I gained consciousness, I haven’t been getting along with my dad. We would always end up arguing with each other.

“Well, the food is getting cold… We wouldn’t want to eat it cold, right?.” mom trying to change the atmosphere.

“The dinner was in silence, everyone was quiet. I don’t know what they are thinking, but as of me I can’t help but to think about my diary… this maybe the reason why the rehab never wanted me to ask about my past with my friends & relatives. Aigoo… I just can’t think about something else… and the more I think about it the more I realize that there is still a big part of my memory missing”

“Sungmin? Sungmin?” mom interfering my thoughts.

“Ne?”

“Are you already finish eating? You haven’t move for a while, you’re just staring blankly. Is there anything wrong?”

“Oh nothing. I’m already finish, I’ll go help with the cleaning”

“No, you should go and rest. Your brother and I will be the one to clean the dishes.”

“Mom, I don’t want to. I’m too tired, I want to go to sleep.” begging to pass the chore.

“Sungjin, you can go to rest. I’ll be the one to help mom with the dishes.” after finishing what I said, he quickly runs to his room.

“You’re always spoiling your little brother.” then my mom laughs.

“I’ll be staying at my office, don’t stay up late.” dad reminding us.

“Okay.”

 “Mom, have you & dad been like this since the accident?”

“What do you mean?”mom trying to avoid my question.

“You know what I mean, I maybe had amnesia but I’m not stupid”

“You really are smart as always and I guess you’re not here just to help me clean the dishes.” mom knowing me.

“You’re not stupid yourself.” then laughs.

“So what do you want ask to me about?”still avoiding to answer my question but I didn't care to ask again.

“I want to ask if I’ve been a good person in the past.”

“Well that's easy, of course you’re not.” joking around

“What?”

“You can not take a joke. I thought you were smart.” regretting what she has said earlier.

“Mom, I don’t want to go around the bush. I’ll just go straight to the point. Who’s Ahyeon?” I ask curiously.

Her reaction was shock, and then answered. “How did you know Ahyeon? Do you remember something about her?”

“I saw my diary earlier and there were pages where it’s always all about her”

“Why did I forget that diary?”

“What?”

“Oh nothing. What is it again?”

“I want to know more about Ahyeon.”

Then there is silence….

“You really want to know more about her? Are you sure you really want to know what kind of girl Ahyeon is?”

“Ne” confused.

“Hmm.. Well she’s the daughter of one of the business associates of your father and she's really nice. You met her in the company as you were both waiting for a meeting to end. Ahyeon and you became close until one day you confessed that you two are already dating.”

“I was dating her? But how can that be possible?”

“Ne, you may not recall things about her but you had a relationship with her.”

“So if I have a relationship with her. Why didn’t she try to visit me?”

“She left you.”

“Left me?”

“Ne, after her father knew about your relationship, he was against it. He already had plans for her daughter for you to ruin. But because you love each other so much… she told you that you two should go to a far place where her father wouldn’t be a bother to your relationship. But….”

“But an accident happened. “continuing her sentence.

 “Ne”

“So it was a car accident then?”

“Not really, because you were good at riding motorcycles and thinking that there is a possibility that her father would chase you, you rode a motorcycle. And you were right, her father already know everything about it. When you came to pick her up she was already being chase, she quickly seated in the back…”

“Then I drove as fast as I can but because of the people who were following us are fast, I did some overtake and then suddenly one of the traffic lights turned red”  seeing visions of what happened then tears fell down.

“So now you remember.”

“I only recall how the accident happened but still I can’t remember things about Ahyeon, even her face.”

Again there was silence… Mom was giving me the time to put myself together…

“If we were keeping it a secret that we are going away from here, Why is it that you know everything about it?”

“You really haven’t recalled all of your memories. Even though her family and your father were against your relationship, I wasn’t so you were telling me everything about it.”

“So you were the one to help us keep our relationship.”

“Ne”

“So what happened after the accident? Why did she leave me?”

“She said that she never wanted for this to happen. So she left you without even just looking at you.”

“Why did she give up just like that? After what happened?”

“Maybe, she doesn’t want to see you in that condition cause it would just hurt her even more.”

“Hurt her? Or she can’t just take to look at a person whose cover with stitches and bandages? ”

“I can’t answer that. It’s up to you to think what maybe the reason she left you. You love her and you know her, right?  Then you should know the reason.”

“Now I know who Ahyeon is and what the reason behind the accident is. I don’t know if I still want to know everything about my past. Even if I can’t remember how much I love her… Still how can she left just like that?”

“Mom?”

“Ne?”

“She wasn’t in a bad condition as me, that’s why she was able to leave the hospital before me.”

She bowed her head and then raises it up again smiling strangely.”Ne, she wasn’t in a bad condition as you.”

“Yet she just leaves like nothing happened and as if I wasn’t someone in her life… But how can she possibly give up on something that she really want and even going to a far place leaving her own family?”

“It’s already late, we should go to sleep. We wouldn’t want your father end up arguing with you.” ignoring my question and ending our conversation.

“I think so too.” walking to our rooms.

As I was going into my room.

“Sungmin?”

“Ne?” turning back to her.

“Promise me that this would be the last time that we’ll talk about Ahyeon and I don’t want you to stress yourself thinking about her.” mom swaying me.

“Ne.” then I entered my room.

“I heard my mom saying goodnight but I didn’t answer… Mom just wants the best for me, she’s right I don’t have to stress myself thinking about that girl Ahyeon who didn’t even bother to visit even just once and tomorrow will be the first day that I’m going to school after the accident so I shouldn’t stay up late stressing myself. Well that’s all in the past, from now on I should only think about the future and leave all the things in the past…”

I hope tomorrow wouldn’t be hard for me…..

Chapter 3

“After waking up early and eating breakfast, my brother and I left the house. I have to walk my brother to his school before going to mine.”

“Sungjin, is it really okay for you to just walk to your school?”

“Ne, it’s close so we can just walk. But I’m more worried about hyung.”

“Worried?” confuse.

“It’s just that, do you know how to get to school?”

“Yah I forgot that I don’t know where my school is located. Omo~ well maybe I should just ride a taxi.”

“Don’t worry, I’ll just go and ride a taxi.”

“Okay, Oh we’re already here”

“Oh… that was fast.”

“I told you.”

“Do you want me to pick you up later or you‘ll just go home by yourself?”

“I’m going to be fine. I’ll just go home with my friends.”

“Okay”

“Sungjin!” a friend of him calling.

“I have to go now. Take care hyung and good luck.” running towards his friends.

“Bye” waving.

“So where is the best place to wait for a taxi? Aigoo.. Why is it that I forgot to ask mom for directions. Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!”

As I was walking….

Ring… Ring… Ring…

“I can hear a very annoying bell sound and some girl saying something.”

“Excuse me! Excuse me! Omo~ I’m going to be late, Aigoo. Excuse me! Excuse me! ”

“As I was turning to look who’s that annoying person, she almost run over me, it’s a good thing that she hit the breaks at the right time but wasn’t able to balance herself so she fell down.”

“Aigoo! This is the worst day of my life!” then suddenly turning her head to me and staring as if she’s going to kill me.

“Didn’t you hear my bell and my loud voice saying, excuse me!” screaming directly in my ears.

“Hey” pushing her away from me.”I heard it, It’s just it made me curious who might be that annoying person.”

“Wow you even have the guts to push a girl who’s injured because of you.”

Then I saw her knee there was blood running. I immediately run and kneel looking at her knee.

“You’re bleeding we should go to the nearest clinic”

Then I notice that there were people staring at us so I quickly stood up.

“I don’t need to go to a clinic, I need to go to school because I’m going to be late.“ then suddenly she notice my uniform.

“What? Is there something wrong with my uniform?”

Then she gave a very creepy smile. “Oh.. Nothing it’s just that I’m in the same school as you are.”

“Really? Can you tell me how to get there?”

“What? You don’t know how to get there? You really are stupid aren't you?” shaking her head.

“It’s a long story so please just tell me how to get there.”

“Aniyo~ I won’t, you made my day even worse so that’s what you get” taking her bike and riding it.

But she wasn’t’ able to balance herself.

“You know you can’t ride a bike in that condition. You’re even limping just when you’re walking” teasing her.

She thinks of something for awhile.

“Then you would be the one to control it and I’ll go seat at the back saying the direction. That’s better.” satisfied about what she said.

“What? Why is it that it looks like you’ve decided it on your own? ” disagreeing.

“You want to know where the school is, right? And I also want to arrive at school now so it would be better for the two of us. Stupid!”

“But…”

“No buts just do it.”

“I don’t know if I can balance the two of us.”

“What are you saying, as long as you can balance yourself it will be easy. We’re already late.” convincing me.

“Okay, I’ll do it but don’t blame me if we’ll be slow.”

“Aish… I don’t have any choice, don't I? Okay, as long as we can get to school it’s fine. ”

So I ride the bike, first I was scared that I wouldn’t be able to balance it but as soon as I start pedaling, the bike started to move. I don’t know but I feel happy and afraid at the same time but mostly afraid. I can’t really explain it. I didn’t even notice that we already arrived at the school.

“Well don’t you have something to tell me?” I asked waiting for her to thank me.

“Thank You.” bowing her head and then she whispered something

“Well I didn’t expect that it would be easy for you to say thank you.”

“Oh… Please don’t get the wrong idea, let me repeat it for you because it seems that you didn’t hear what I said. Thank You… For making this day of my life worst!!!” then she stepped at my foot.

“Ouch!” jumping around like a fool holding my foot.

Then I notice there are people staring at me and the little brat is already gone.

“Aish… How can she possibly do that to me? She even left without any notice even if she was limping earlier, or is she? That little brat. Ah!!!!”

There is nothing else I can do but to look for my class. Then I finally found my room. As soon as I entered the room everyone was staring at me but I didn’t mind because I’m used to it since what happened earlier people staring at me… So I just look took a seat ignoring everyone around me.

“Well just go stare at me… I won’t mind as long as you wouldn’t make my day even worse. Who’s that brat anyway? She didn’t even introduce herself instead, thanked me for making her day worst and stepping at my foot and even lying to me that she was limping.”

Suddenly there were noises and they were all looking outside the window.

“She’s here! She’s here!”

“We’re so lucky that she’s our classmate.”

“Yah, it would be the first time that will have a celebrity in our class.”

Even after hearing what they said I didn’t react… I was still thinking about that brat girl I’ve met earlier. I just remembered that I’m studying in a fancy business university where there are many spoiled brat… But how can there be a spoiled brat riding a bicycle shouldn’t it be a car instead…Well I just have to look for that girl and take my revenge but the problem is I don’t know her name and I can’t recognize her face because of her hair covering it… I can only recall her voice...

Then a girl entered the room and suddenly the class was filled with loud noises and screams…

And then the bell rung... just then I realize,

“If the bell rung just now then it means that it was still early when I met that brat… And I wouldn’t be pedaling for her if she hasn’t said that we’re already late. That brat!!! She’s such a LIAR!!!”

Chapter 4

“Aigoo… how is it possible to meet a stupid guy like him… I thought stupid guys only exist in movies… Aish!!!”

“Sooyoung!”

“Yoona.”

“It looks like you’re in a bad mood and in a bad hair day” laughs.

“Omo~ even my hair is having its worst day.”

“You’re even funnier when you’re mad” laughs.

“Are you helping to make my day beyond worst with your laughter?”

“Okay fine. I’m sorry” suddenly she noticed that Sooyoung is bleeding.

“Don’t worry it’s just a scratch”

“Are sure it really looks like it hurts” feeling the pain.

“You know me right? Then you know that I can bear the pain with just a scratch.”

“Okay, well tell me everything that happened”

While Yoona & I were going to our class, I told her everything that had happened.

“So you’re saying that he’s the one who ruined your day and the reason why you didn’t get the chance to walk with Changmin sunbaenim?”

“Ne” pouting her lips.

“But everyday you’re always walking with him. Why is it that you’re in a bad mood that much when you just miss this once?”

“You know it’s been a long weekend for me and I haven’t seen him since Friday”

“That’s your reason?” not satisfied.

“What? Do I need other reasons?”

As we were walking to the corridor…

“Sooyoung, Isn’t that Changmin sunbae waiting outside our room?”

“What?!?” paranoid.

“Yah, it really is him. Well you’re still lucky.”

“Hey, Do I look alright? Is my hair fix? Omo~”

“Stop being paranoid, you look great.” Looking at my hair teasing.

“Yoona!”

“I was only joking”

As we reached him…

“Sooyoung” smiles.

“Omo~ his smile is really killing me. Neh? ”

 “Sorry for bothering, I was only worried when I didn’t see you at the gate.”

“What?”

“He said he was WORRIED, you’re so deaf.” Teasing.

I stared deadly at Yoona.

“Well I’ll be going to my class first. Annyeong” leaves quickly.

“Sorry about Yoona, it’s a habit of her to tease people.”

“Don’t worry, I really don’t mind. I saw you talking to guy earlier” changing the topic.

“Oh yah, that stupid guy” whispering.

“What?”

“Oh nothing, so you saw me with that guy”

“That guy? You don’t know him?”

“Aniyo~ I just met him.”

“But it seems you two were really close he even pedaled your bike for you”

“He only OWNS me something” giving a weird laugh.

“To tell you the truth I wanted to give a ride earlier because I saw that your bike was knock down and you were injured but then the guy insisted on pedaling the bike for you and I didn’t want to interfere”

“you should have…Yah, he INSISTED to pedaled for me” another weird laugh.

“So did he took you to the nearest clinic” checking me if there is some injuries.

Then he suddenly kneeled down & looked at my knee. Which made me blush.

“He didn’t take you to a clinic. What kind of guy is that?”

“You just realize?”

“I’ll take you the clinic.”

“No. It’s okay. I’m fine it’s just a scratch” then suddenly my face twitched because of the pain.

“It hurts isn’t it. It could get worse if it wouldn’t be treated properly.”

“But we’re going to be late for class if we go to the clinic”

“This is enough reason to be late.” suddenly taking my hand and then we started to run.

“Does this person really know that I’m injured?”


“Excuse me?”

“WHAT?!?” I wasn’t able to control myself.

“I’m sorry to disturb your thoughts, but I think you’re seating in my chair.”

”What? Your chair?” raising an eyebrow.

“Ne”

“But there’s no name on it”

“Hey! Give her chair. That’s where she’s seated.” my classmates taking her side.

“What?!?”

Making her SMIRK.

Then she suddenly seated to my lap.”Or if you want to, I can just take my seat like this.”

Then the room was filled with noise again.

I stood up as fast as I can.“Who are you to do that?”

“What ? You don’t know me?”

“Well I didn’t hear anything about a girl who’s flirty as you.”

That made her annoyed for a bit.

“Well let me do my introductions, my name is Heesica and you know what?”

“What?!?”

“I like you”

“Whoa~” the class went wild.

“I don’t care about anything you say, find someone else you can play with.” Then I left the room and closing our classroom’s door with all my strength showing my anger.

I lean against the wall thinking…

“Can this day get any WORSE?!?”

As I was thinking of what just happened. I saw two people running in the corridor.

“Oppa, wait. You’re too fast.” the girl said.

As they were passing by I got a glimpse of the girl’s face… She was shock but… Even with that expression she was really beautiful her hair was flowing like the wave of the ocean. Then suddenly I started to have visions again… My head hurts… it’s just too much… I can see her face everywhere…

When I woke up I was already in the clinic and there was a girl staring at me.

“So you’re awake.”

“You? What are you doing here?” confuse.

“Is that the way you thank your savior?”

“Savior?”

“Yah, if I haven’t followed you when you left the classroom no one would be able to know that you’ve already fainted.”

“I fainted. You were the one to take me here?”

“Of course not. I ask for the help of our classmates.”

“Then why are you here then?”

“Well, I didn’t get to know you. So I wanted to have you alone.”

“You should stop doing that.”

“What? Being friendly?”

“Is that what you call being friendly? If that’s it, go find some other people who can be FRIENDLY with you.”

She gave a smirk again just like earlier.

Then we heard other voices from the other side of the clinic that is just separated by a curtain.

Heesica suddenly stood up & pulled the curtain making it possible to see who’s in the other side.

“Changmin?”

“Heesica?”

Then I saw the girl that passed by in the corridor earlier and then my head started to hurt again.

“You?!? Stupid Guy!!!”

Then I recognize the voice. “Brat girl?!?”

“I finally saw her face but every time I see it, my head started to hurt & then I have visions again.”

“Could she be somehow connected from the past?”

Chapter 5

“What did you call me?!? Stupid guy!!!” yelling at me.

As I was going to yell back at her, I saw her face which made my head hurt again.

“How can a girl with such beauty be this annoying? Brat girl.” crouching while holding my head because of the pain.

“Are you okay? I think we should take you to the hospital.” Heesica being concern.

“Weren’t you the reason why Sooyoung’s hurt. You didn’t even take her to a clinic.”

I wasn’t able to defend myself to him because of the pain.

“I think we should really go now.” Heesica really worried.

“I’m fine, just leave me alone.”

“What kind of guy are you? You didn’t even take a wounded girl to a clinic and now you’re being like that to the person whose concern about you?” he was almost going to attack me but…

“Oppa” Sooyoung stopping him by holding his arm.

Then he realizes that he was losing his temper.

“Mianhae, we should go now. We don’t have any business here anymore and we’re already late for class.” Taking Sooyoung’s hand then reaching for the door.

Suddenly Heesica asked. “Is it because she looks like her?” with a shaky voice.

That made Changmin pause for a while then totally left the clinic.

Sigh… “Should we go now?”

I notice that her eyes are watery but she manage to stop it from falling.

“No, I just need to rest for a bit” laying back.

“Okay, I’ll just wait for you until you are ready to go.” forcing a smile.

I feel that there’s something that she needs to talk about… so I tried starting a conversation…

“What’s his name? Changmin?”

“Huh?” she wasn’t paying attention…

“The guy earlier. His name is Changmin?”

“Oh… Ne… “

suddenly turning his head at me.” You haven’t introduced yourself.”

“I forgot. My name is Sungmin.”

“Well, that’s a cute name for a guy.” losing her interest.

“Just like Changmin’s?” teasing.

But she didn’t seem to hear what I’ve said.

“It looks like that you really know each other.” trying to break the silence.

“We were very close back then, actually we’re childhood friends.”

“Oh… and the girl, Sooyoung?”

“I don’t know her. But it’s the first time that I saw Changmin with a girl after a long time.” bending her head a little.

“You like him don’t you?” I didn’t notice that I was already asking too much.

“What?” she asked surprisingly.

“Oh… I didn’t mean to get into your privacy.”

That made her laugh.

“Privacy? You are interesting, aren’t you?” laughs.

“Huh?”

Then she became serious again.”I really don’t know, you tell me.”

“What?” that made me even more confuse.

“Nothing, thanks making me laugh a bit.”

“I should be the one thanking you but please don’t ever try to seat on my lap again.” Being serious and funny at the same time.

“You still haven’t forgotten it? Is it too memorable for you?”  laughs.

"Well at least now she’s feeling better and I think I’ll be more comfortable with her from now on."

“Oppa, I think we should help them.”

“He didn’t take you to a clinic, so he doesn’t deserve your help”

This is the first time I saw Changmin oppa being so cold.

“I’m sorry, I shouldn’t be like this. I’m not usually like this.”

“It’s fine. I also have a different side if you only know.”

“You know, it’s the first time I saw you actually arguing with someone” smiling.

“Whoa~ I forgot I acted like a stranger earlier, I’ve never shown Changmin Oppa that side of mine.
Aish~ Oh that, I’m not usually like that” making a joke.

“You really know how to make a person feel better. To tell you the truth you were cute back there when you were arguing with that guy”

That made me blush then I remembered the girl earlier and I’m curious about his relationship with her.

“So the girl earlier, Isn’t she a famous celebrity?”

“Ne, Heesica. She will be studying here from now on.”

“You really know her.”

“I’ve known her since we were a child, we were close then.”

“If he means then, it means he’s not that close to her now. Whoo~ that made me relieved.”

We already reached my class when I remembered what Heesica asked him earlier, “Is it because she looks like her”

“We’re already here.” letting go of my hand.

“Oppa, I want to ask you something about what Heesica…”

Suddenly the door of our classroom opened.

“Ms. Choi! Oh, Mr.Shim.” my teacher suddenly change her mood from being angry to being glad.

“Well she likes Changmin oppa as well… What’s not to like about him”. laughing in my head.

“Mam, I apologize for Sooyoung coming late to your class. I took her to the clinic because she has a wound and it needs to be treated properly.”

“Oh, you don’t have to explain. I understand. Ms. Choi please find your seat.” in a friendly tone.

As I was entering the class I looked back at Changmin oppa and he gave me a wink then waved good bye.

“Well thanks to that stupid guy, this day is turning to be my BEST DAY!”

Chapter 6

When I got better, Heesica & I returned to our class. When I was looking for a seat just then I saw & realize that we were in the same class as Changmin. I thought if Heesica knew about it. As the time pass I was only thinking about all the things that had happened earlier. I was also thinking what might be the reason that I fainted the last thing I can remember is when I saw Sooyoung’s face while she & Changmin was running in the corridor. If that’s the last thing I can remember before fainting then it's something about Sooyoung's face? Could it really be a possible reason? No, it just can't be.

RRRRRIIIIINNNNNGGGGG!!!!!

Ohw… I didn’t notice that it was already time.

“Changmin are you going somewhere?” I heard Heesica asking Changmin.

“Mian, I need to go somewhere.” Changmin answered and then left.

“Sungmin!” Heesica calling me.

“Neh?” I asked.

“Are you going somewhere?” She asked.

“Ohw… Mian I need to go home now, I still don’t feel that well. I’m really sorry.” I answered while
packing my things.

“Then maybe I can take you home.” She insisted.

Then there was silence… I realize our classmates are still here and they heard it. Waiting for my answer...

“No, I'm fine. I'll just ride a taxi. Maybe next time.” I answered.

I notice that some of our classmates were relieved.

“Then if you say so… I’ll leave first… Bye everyone!” Heesica bidded good bye to everyone.

I finished packing my thing & went straight home.

Oh at last the class ended.

“Aigoo~ Sooyoung what a tough day this is… almost all our professors gave a surprise quiz. I hate days like this.” Yoona complaining. “Are you even listening?”

“Yah~ I’m listening it’s just I’m packing my things. What is it again?” I asked.

“Look you said you’re listening but you really don’t know what I’ve said. Well that annoys me even more. Oh yah… so what happened with you & Changmin sunbaenim.” Suddenly changing her mood.

“Nothing” trying to keep it.

“Well it doesn’t look like it’s nothing.” Teasing then laughs.

“Okay I’ll tell you while we're walking home but I have to say my thanks to Changmin oppa first.” I said.

“Okay tell me everything… every detail.” Yoona very eager to know everything.

“Sure~” I answered.

So we went to Changmin oppa’s class hoping that he’s still there.

“Annyeonghaseyo~ I just want to ask if Changmin oppa is still here.” asking Changmin oppa’s classmate.

“He left as soon as the bell rung.” His classmate answered.

“Oh… Kamsahamnida”

“So he left already…” Yoona said.

“Yah…” feeling kinda down.

“Well, don’t feel bad there’s always next time.” Yoona trying to cheer me up.

“You’re right.” Walking … head down…

“But why are you still feeling down?” Yoona asked.

“Because I want… I want to see him.” acting like a child.

Yoona laughs. “You acting like a child begging for a lollipop. You just saw him earlier. You really like him that much.”

“Neh” I answered quickly.

“Hey! Aren’t you forgetting something?” Yoona trying to remind me.

“What?” being slow. “Ohw right, I was going to tell you what happened.”

“Yah.. I want to know everything.” Yoona demanding.

“Hmm… He took me to the clinic & when we were there…”

“Sooyoung! Sooyoung!” someone calling me.

“What now?” Yoona being annoyed.

“Who’s that? Do you know her?” I asked Yoona.

It’s still far so we can’t really recognize who is it.

“Is that..? Is that…?” Yoona unable to continue.

“Huh?” looking at Yoona and wondering why is she acting like that.

“It’s Heesica!” screaming.

“Hey. Calm down.”

As we reached Heesica…

“Sooyoung, why aren’t you responding?” smiles.

“Hee.. Hee.. si….” Yoona star struck.

“Oh… this is my friend, Yoona.”

“It’s nice to meet you.” Reaching for Yoona’s hand for a shake hands.

“Ni…ce to me…meet… too..” holding Heesica’s hand tightly.

“She’s a big fan of yours.”

“Yah, it’s not obvious though.” Laughs.

Then suddenly Yoona had calmed, realizing that she’s embarrassing herself.

“Heesica unnie, why were you calling me?” I asked.

“Oh I wanted to invite you out cause it’s my first day going to school again.” Heesica answered.

I looked at Yoona if she would allow me to come with Heesica unnie but she’s only looking at Heesica unnie not aware of her surrounding,

“Yoona, is it okay if I take Sooyoung with me?” convincing Yoona.

“Oh… sure it’s okay.” Forcing a smile.

I know that Yoona wanted to go too but it seems that Heesica unnie only wanted me to go with her.

“Is it really okay Yoona?” I asked her myself.

“Oh… don’t worry about me. I’ll be just fine but you have to tell me everything, Okay?” Yoona letting me go.

“Okay, I’ll call you later” feeling quite sorry.

“Thank you, maybe next time I’ll ask you to go with me.” Heesica trying to cheer up Yoona.

“Really?” Yoona’s face lits up.

“Neh…” Heesica giving her assurance.

“Okay, I’ll go now. Bye bye.” Yoona waved good bye then left.

I’m feeling kinda worried when Yoona left. If ever Heesica unnie is going to celebrate her first day of school again, why does it have to be with me?  What is she thinking? Is she planning on doing something to me because of Changmin oppa?

Chapter 7

When Yoona was already far…

“So where do you want to go, Sooyoung?” Heesica asked excitedly.

“Well anywhere is fine, so you decide.” I answered.

“I wouldn’t want to bring you in some place that you don’t like. So I think you should be the one to decide where to go and it would also relief me because inviting you is already a bother.” She said.

“So I thought if this is a celebration then we should go to a place where we can find nice foods. I know this place where they have these nice foods and it’s not far so we can just walk” then I thought. “But if you want to, we can ride a taxi.”

“Walk is nice” she smiled.

“I thought she would choose to ride rather than to walk. I mean she’s a celebrity after all. Kaja~”

As I lead the way she took my hand. I was shocked then I looked at her but she doesn’t seem to care. She was just smiling like a child going to the park. Because of her smile, I tend to smile too & it didn’t feel awkward holding her hand. It feels like we were really close as if we have known each other for a long time.

She suddenly said “We haven’t introduced ourselves properly.”

“Oh…” I let go of her hand that gave her a shocked. “Annyeonghaseyo, chonun Sooyoung imnida. Nice to meet you” then I bowed.

She smiled then did her introductions “Annyeonghaseyo, chonun Heesica imnida.” Bows. “You wanna know something?” she whispered like she was going to tell a secret.

“What is it?” I asked curiously.

“This would be the first time that I’ll be hanging out with a friend.” She paused then. “That’s the reason why am I so happy right now” smiles.

“First time? Hanging out? With… FRIEND? Don’t you have friends?” I asked curiously.

“Hmm… Not really, ever since I was young I’m not good at reaching people. I think that’s why everytime I would try to join in a group they would always reject me. They always say I’m too weird to join them.” She said.

“I pity her with her story. How about Changmin Oppa? Weren’t you two close back then?” I asked.

“Close back then? That’s what he said about us?” She asked with astonishment.

“Omo~ Is it right for me to say this? I mean, you & Changmin oppa are close right? Then why would you say this is your first time?”

“Oh… My Dad is strict.so I wasn't allow to hang out” She said.

"Oh... that's why... My father is not that strict. He allows me to hang out with friends. Then if this is your first time we should make this the best hang out for you."

“You really know how to make a person feel better, with that character to tend to make the people around you comfortable with you.” Admiring my character.

“Ani~ I’m just being myself.”being  modest.

“That’s the best part of it. It comes naturally.”she admires more.

“I can’t say anything anymore to be modest, she is just too straight. So I just… Kamsahamnida~ ” thanked her.

“There’s nothing to be thank about, I’m just saying the truth.”she said.

“Oh… we’re here.”

We arrived in the small restaurant… and find ourselves a table…

As we seat…

“Mianhae… If I have taken you to a place like this, it’s not a fancy restaurant.” Being apologetic.

“It’s okay, I love trying things for the first time.” She answered while looking around the place.

I was shocked when we ordered the food because she ordered a lot…

“Are you that hungry?” I asked.

“Ani~ I just want to taste all the food here.” She answered.

“Ohw…“

As the food arrived…

“Hmm… is it okay to ask things while we’re eating. So we can know more about each other and I’ll also answer your questions.”

“Well it is fine with me.” I said.

As we started to eat she also started to ask things…

“So you were born & raised here?” she asked.

“Ahm… Not really, I was born here but raised in US.” I answered.

“Oh… As for me I went there when I was 14” She said.

“So how long have you been staying, since you came back?” I asked.

“Hmm… a year and a half.” She answered.

“Oh..”

“How about you?” she asked.

“Hmm… I think it’s almost a year.”I answered.

“Only a year?” she asked in disbelief.

“Neh.” I answered.

Then she didn’t say a word, she was only thinking deeply.

“Are you sure it’s only been a year” she asked in an indecent tone.

“Neh, I told you a year.” I said trying to defend myself without even knowing the reason.

Then she stomped, putting her chopsticks down.

“If you’ve only been staying here for almost a year…” she paused. “How was it possible for you to be that close to Changmin?” she asked in a loud & angry voice.

“I don’t know what to you say, I’m so shock. Is this the main reason she invited me? To know about what’s going on between Changmin oppa & I. Mianhae, I know it’s rude for me to make this conclusion but did you just invite me to know more about what’s going on with me & Changmin oppa?” I asked straight forward.

That gave her a shock… I think she wasn’t able to control her feelings… she calmed herself and didn’t say a word… We finished our meals in silence… She paid the bill as soon as it was handed to her… She’s the first one who stood up & led us outside…

I thought we’re just going to have our separate ways without even saying good bye….

“Sooyoung, mianhae.” She said, asking for forgiveness.

I just stood there looking at her then said. “I think it’s already late, I should go home now.” I bowed & then left. I didn’t try to look back on what maybe her reaction is or if she also left as soon as I left. As I was walking away there were questions playing inside my head…

“Why didn’t she even bother inviting me? Did she really mean what she said being happy? Is the reason why Changmin oppa is now not close to her because of her attitude? Did Changmin oppa really had her as a friend? Why does she react that much when she knew that it’s been only almost a year since I’ve stayed? And so what if I’m close to Changmin oppa?
Aigoo~ what will I do the next time I see her? And the worst part is seeing her when I’m with Changmin oppa. Aish~ I should have just rejected her invitation… If I only knew…”

“Annyeonghaseyo, Did I make you wait that much?” Changmin asked

“Aniyo~ Why don’t you take a seat.” The woman said.

“Kamsahamnida.”

“Waiter!” she called. “So what do you want to order?” the woman asked Changmin.

“I’ll have Black Tea” Changmin said.

“Two Black Tea please.” The woman ordered.

 “I’m so sorry for suddenly calling for you.” The woman said.

“Aniyo~ it’s okay.” Changmin said.

“It’s been a long time since I’ve seen you. You’ve grown so much.” the woman admiring Changmin.

The waiter returned with the order. “Here is your order.”

“It really had been a long time.” Changmin said.

“I don’t want to go around the bush. I think you have an idea why did I call for you.” The woman said.

“I know.” Changmin said.

“You really are smart as always.” sips the tea.

“This is about your daughter, Heesica, going to school.” Changmin said.

“Yes. She really wants to go at the same school as you are since we have returned from the US. But I told her to give you some space first because of what happened.” Mrs. Kim said.

“Oh… past is past. But still I don’t want to talk about it.” Changmin said.

“I’m sorry. I’ll go straight to the reason why I called you. I want to ask you to look out for Heesica, you know that isn’t good socializing with people. I know it’s a bother but there’s no one else I that I can ask this favor.” Mrs. Kim said.

Sipping the tea first. ”I don’t really know if I can do that favor.” Changmin said.

“Oh… I understand. You wouldn’t want to make OTHERS think that there’s something between you and Heesica.” Mrs. Kim said.

“Aniyo~ that’s not what I meant. I’m just busy so I can not look out for Heesica.” Changmin explained.

“But I hope you are still being concern about Heesica.” Mrs. Kim said.

Changmin didn’t answer.

“I’m sorry for taking Heesica and leaving without notice.” Mrs. Kim suddenly said.

“I don’t want to talk about that. Just like what I said past is past.” Changmin picking up his things. “I hope you didn’t call me just to talk about the past. I’m sorry but I have to leave now. Kamsahamnida” bows.

Changmin already a step away when Mrs. Kim said…

“You are the reason why we returned here. She really wants to see you.”

Changmin only paused for awhile then left finally.

Chapter 8

As I finished packing my things and after being asked by Heesica, I immediately left the class, waited for a taxi & went straight home.

“I’m home!” I exclaimed while taking my shoes off.

I looked around the house expecting that there’s someone home. “I guess mom went to the market & Sungjin’s still in school.”

I went to my room & changed then went back downstairs. I turned on the music player and seated at the couch. While I was waiting, I was still thinking about what happened earlier. I can’t believe that the possible reason maybe that girl, Sooyoung. How can that be? She doesn’t know me, I don’t think that we’re related with each other. But when I saw her face in the corridor I can’t really explain what I’ve felt. As if my world stopped, there really is something about her. I need to know about it. The next time I’ll see her, I should make sure that I won’t faint again or even have a headache. “I know what to do I should go to my doctor & ask for a medicine or something. That’s right.”

 I didn’t notice that time has already passed.

“Why is it that they haven’t returned yet? If mom went to the market she should be at home by now. Sungjin should be here also it’s already late” I felt that my throat had dried so I went to the kitchen to have a drink.

I notice a note hanging on the door of the refrigerator.

“Sungmin-ah,
   Sungjin & I will be staying at grandma’s for now.  She is sick & needs to be taking care of. I already told your father & he’ll be here soon.
   I left some cash in your drawer use it to buy food. I think will be staying here for awhile until grandma gets better. Take care~   

-Mom”                                           

“They left me?” I was curious why I was left. I quickly got the phone and called mom.

“Yeobsoyo?” mom answered.

“Mom, why didn’t you bring me along?” I asked.

“About that, It’s only your first day and I think it would be wrong for you to be absent.” She said.

“Oh… Then how about grandma, is she alright?”

“She’s really sick right now &need someone to take care of her.”

“Okay. So you’ll be staying there until grandma gets better?”

“Neh~ as soon as she gets better. Did you find the money I left you?”

“I haven’t looked for it yet.” I heard grandma’s voice calling for mom. “I think grandma needs you, just tell I wish her to get well.”

“Okay, take care of the house.” Then hang up.

I went back to the kitchen to check if there’s any food. “Well there’s nothing here that I can eat for dinner. I think I should go to the market to buy some.”

I went back to my room and searched for the money that mom left me.”Where did she say she put it?” As I was searching, I saw this case but I don’t know what’s inside. After I opened it, I saw a camera.”A camera?” just now I noticed that my room was full of hanged pictures.”I remember how I always take pictures of beautiful sceneries. This is not just an ordinary camera. I always use this when I was a staff in our school newspaper.” I looked if there’s film. “There’s film but some of it is already used.” I opened the lens & started to use it. When I started looking at the lens, I remember how I used to take pictures & the feeling of really enjoying it. I was looking at the different angles of the room when suddenly my stomach started to growl.

“I haven’t eaten yet. I should go to the market now.” I put back the camera to its case & searched for the money. When I found it & took it, I saw a picture under it. “This picture, I know this.” In the picture I was smiling & taking a picture of the person who is also taking a picture of me. “Where’s the picture of the person who’s taking my picture?” I searched my drawer if the picture is there. But I didn’t see any other pictures than that.

I looked at the picture again then suddenly my stomach growled again. “I think I should really go the market now.”

I changed my clothes again because I know it’s cold outside. I waited for a taxi, I wanted to walk but I’m still not familiar with the places.

“To the market please.” I said to the driver.

I arrived at the market & immediately bought everything that I needed. Since I know the direction now, I think it would be fine to walk home even though it’s quite far.

As I was walking home I saw the hospital where I was confined. I remembered that I wanted to ask my doctor for a medicine. “Since I think mom wouldn’t be able to come with me sooner, I’ll just go now & ask for a medicine.”

I entered the hospital…Hoping that my doctor would be able to help me~

Chapter 9

“May I ask for Dr. Siwon.” I asked one of the nurses.

“He’s in his room right now.” Answering in a hurry while pointing in w/c room he is.

“Kamsahamnida.” I thanked her as she left.

As I was walking towards the room… I remember how I used to go there everytime I finish a session of my rehab for Dr. Siwon to check if there’s any progression.

I knocked and then entered.

“Annyeonghaseyo, Dr. Siwon.” I greeted.

“Sungmin, just as expected.” He said

“Expected?” I asked.

“Neh~” He answered in astonishment. “Your mom called earlier and said that you fainted at school but you’re just fine. Then she informed me that you maybe coming.” He said.

“So she knew. Oh…”

“So what can I do for you, Sungmin?” he asked.

“Ahm… It’s just, I can’t seem tp figure out what maybe the reason that I fainted. I thought that you may give me the answer.” I said.

“I see, therefore I would ask to some questions first. Just like how I used to ask you back then.” He said.

“Arasso~”

“Before fainting did you feel that there’s something hurts?” He asked.

“Neh~ My head really hurts.” I answered.

“Is there something that you think that maybe a reason for it to hurt so much?”He asked.

“Hmm…” I thought for a moment. “Oh! The only thing I can remember before fainting is… I saw two people running at our school corridor. As they pass by, I saw that one them is a girl. I saw her beautiful face… ”

“Then?” He suddenly asked.

“Huh?” I was distracted in my deep thought.

I was not aware that I was just staring blankly.

“Ah… I saw her face and after that I started to have visions just like everytime I tend to remember my memories. And then it leads for my head to hurt so much.” I continued.

“Do you like her?” He asked randomly.

“What?!? T…Tha….That… g… gi… gir… girl?!?” I asked in shocked.

“Neh~”

“Aniyo!” I said.

He just smiled and said. “I see, as I look at it she maybe somehow connected to your past and also the reason for your head to hurt.”

“I just met her. I don’t even know her. It’s the first time that I’ve seen her!” I said.

“You know.” He paused. “You can’t say that you don’t know her because even just a single detail that had been erased in your memories will cause you a hard time. We all know you haven’t recovered all your memories yet.” He said.

“Oh, the traumas that I’ve experienced after the accident really have caused me a lot making me forget so many things.” I said.

“Neh~ but you have done great. Compared to my other patients you are the fastest one to recover.” He said trying to cheer me up.

I sighed and then asked. “Is there any way that I can avoid having a headache causing me to faint?”

“The solution is for you to have a painkiller. I can prescribe something that you can take.” He said.
“Okay.” I said.

“But this is only temporary.” He said.

“Temporary?” I asked.

“”Neh~ This painkiller is quite strong so I would only recommend for you to use it in just a period of time.” He said

“So you’re saying… After that period of time & when I stop taking it, I will experience again having headaches?” I asked.

“Neh~” He said.

I only sighed.

“But there is something that maybe can help you from headache no more without taking any painkillers.” He suddenly said.

“What is it?” I asked eagerly.

“I know this will sound strange and it might confuse you. What I’m going to say is not scientifically proven or anything.” He paused. “In my life I have experience so much problems and there’s one problem that I thought I would never be able to solve & I only thought that the only solution would be to runaway from it.”

I just stared at him waiting for him to continue.

“Then one day I got a chance to talk one on one with my dongsaeng. She maybe younger than me but she really thinks well. She’s also really close to me. She sat beside me and told me that she knows that would be hard for me to face my problem but it will be the best thing to do for me to solve my problem and if I would just runaway from it, it will just be always there hunting me.” He said.

I didn’t really know what he wants me tot think so I was just in silence.

“What I mean is, if the girl the main reason why you have headaches. It will be the best if you try getting close to her and who knows she really maybe a part of your past or not just a part but a big one.” He said.

I was really convinced in what he said. “So how would I be able to do that if everytime I come near her & her face I always faint?” I asked.

“That’s why I’m going to prescribe you a painkiller w/c will help you to get to know her.” He said.

“Oh… Okay.” I said.

“This painkiller is really strong so you should just take it once a day and after taking it for 6 months you will stop taking it.” Writing it on a piece of paper then handing it to me.

As he was handing it to me he said. “Remember you only have a limited time to get to know her. I hope that you’ll be able to solve the question in your mind. It’s now up to you.”

“Kamsahamnida.” I thanked him & I took my leave.

As soon as I received the paper, I immediately went to the nearest drugstore & bought it. And then I continue walking home. I was already a few step from the gate of our house when I saw this familiar face then my head started to hurt again and all the things I can see around me started to fade.

Chapter 10

When I wokeup I still feel kinda dizzy… My sight is blurry at first but as soon as it cleared up, just then I realized I was already inside the house lying in the couch.

“How did I get here?” I asked myself.

I seated then suddenly I felt that my head really hurts. “Did I bump my head that hard?” shaking my head trying to make the pain go away.

I remember that I fainted while seeing Sooyoung, “How is it possible that she’s walking this way? It’s impossible that she lives here.” As I was thinking, I heard some noises coming from the kitchen. I immediately took something I can use for hitting if maybe it’s a thief.

“Can it be the door was left open by the person who brought me here? Making it possible for the thief to come in.” walking slowly towards the kitchen.

“I know that it wouldn’t be mom~ Who’s in there?” I asked in a loud voice making myself sound brave.
Noone answered.

As I was already have a chance to peek in the kitchen I saw that it was a girl.

“Ya!!! Who are you?!? What are you doing here?!?” I exclaimed.

“Ah!!!” She screamed in surprise. “You scared me to death!”

“Sooyoung?” I realize that it was her so I quickly turned away as I said. ”What are you doing here?!? You shouldn’t be here, you trespasser.”

“What?!? After bringing you inside? After what I’ve done… Aish!!!” She said.

“You already brought me in, didn’t you? So why are you still here staying at my kitchen?” I asked.

“Aish!!! Well sorry for being someone who is concern. I thought that it would be good to cook you something!!!” She really sounded angry. “Why am I explaining myself to you?!? Aish!!!” She stomp as she was leaving.

I’m glad that now she’s leaving. I don’t want that there’s someone here especially a girl staying late. But I don’t know why, as she was passing by me and was already few steps away from me… I suddenly grabbed her hand. I saw that her reaction was shock. I bended my head before I start to have a headache again. I myself was shock too.

“Mianhae, I didn’t mean to offend you. It’s just that I’m shock from what’s happening. Please… stay. What the hell am I saying? Please? Stay?” I don’t know what’s happening.

I didn’t hear her answer. I feel that there’s an urge in myself that I really want her to stay. So I tried looking on what reaction… to my surprise… As I lift my head up our face was really close from each other. I can see very detail of her face. Then I started to have visions…

“You don’t have to leave. We don’t have to do this.”

“Ani~ Dad already knows about our relationship. I don’t want you to get hurt.”

After I had my vision, I fell down at Sooyoung shoulders.

Chapter 11

The next morning I wokeup… There’s a jacket covering me which is keeping me warm. I remember that Sooyoung was here last night & I think it’s hers. I didn’t know if she left but she’s nowhere to be found.

It’s already morning… I went to the kitchen to look for food & I saw the porridge that she cooked. Since it’s already prepared I ate it. I didn’t realize that I ate the whole thing. It was really delicious.

“I wonder what time did she leave.” I said to myself as I wash the dishes.

After that I got myself ready & walk to school. As I was walking I can’t help but to look around & wonder if I would be able to see Sooyoung. I got tired & just continue walking. Then I heard a sound of a bell, just like the bell I heard yesterday coming from her bike. I  turned around smiling but she looks like she’s in a hurry. She didn’t realize that I was there & just passed by. So...

“Sooyoung!” I called her but…

As she turned around she was already crossing the rode… & because she wasn't looking in the way... so... a car… hit her….

“No!!! Sooyoung” I didn’t know what to do I just run to her and sat down in the middle of the road as I was holding her in my arms.

“Someone help!” noone wanted to help, they are just staring & passing by. “Sooyoung! Sooyoung! Sooyoung!” then suddenly…

I woke up… It was just a bad dream. It's still dark & I was sweating. I was shocked I was also covered by a jacket & I know it’s Sooyoung’s just like in my dream. And what really made me shock is… seeing Sooyoung sleeping beside the couch and… I was holding her hand…

“I remember… I was half conscious when she laid me in the couch. She went to the kitchen & went back to where I was laying. She said that I should eat the porridge as soon as I get better & then she put her jacket to keep me warm but as she was going to leave… Again… I grabbed her hand…  What have I done? Asking her to stay & not letting go of her. Whta the hell is wrong with me!!!” I said then my stomach growled… then she suddenly move.

I should eat something. I wouldn’t want to wake her up with my growling stomach so I let go of her hand gently & went to the kitchen. I saw the bowl of porridge & there was a note …

“Eat well.” It made me smile.

After I finished eating… I remember that I should now take the painkiller since Sooyoung is still here. I don’t want to faint again & be a trouble to her again. So I took a pill & went back to the living room. I want to know if it’s really effective… I went near her… She was sleeping like a baby… Her hair was covering her face so I slide her hair behind her ears… finally I saw her face… It was weird at first because…  I wasn’t feeling any pain… It was like I was waiting for myself to faint again but instead I was just staring at her the whole time… Then she moved… I think she can feel that someone’s staring at her. I stood up & looked at her… I realize that it’s not a comfortable position for her to sleep like that… So I carried her… She’s really heavy… & laid her in the couch… I know it would be really cold so I went upstairs and took a blanket. I went back to her & as I put the blanket I started to stare at her face again… as if there’s something drawing me to her… I was moving closer & closer to her face… when she suddenly opened her eyes…

She was just staring at me as I was staring at her. We are both shock & then suddenly I pulled myself away.

“Mian…”

“I think I should go now.” She said.

“But it’s already late.” I said

“Oh… It’s okay my friend’s house is just near here.”

“I can walk you there.” I insisted.

“Ani~ I can go by myself.” She said & took her jacket. “Annyeonghaseyo” She bid goodbye as she bowed without looking at me.

“Annyeong~” I answered back.

“Aish~ What did I do that?”
