Til We Meet Again

Chapter 1

(Story starts out at the park)

HanBin and MiHyun are sitting under a tree watching the sun set beyond the horizon.

“Hey HanBin.” Says MiHyun as she raises her head from his shoulder

“Yeah?” says HanBin

“You remember the…the promise you made me when we first met?” asks MiHyun.

“Yeah, I remember” answers HanBin.

*Flashback* 10 years ago….

“Haha, look at the little girl. Want your teddy?” says this kid.

“Give it back!!!” says MiHyun

She starts to cry.

“Hey!” “What do you think your doing?”

Out comes HanBin.

“This has nothing to concern you HanBin.”

“Oh but it does, you mess with her, you mess with me. Got that?” snaps HanBin

“Hehe, what are you gonna do about it?”

“Easy, I’m gonna do this.” says HanBin.

He quickly throws a punch. The kid quickly falls to the ground.

“Aww, you son of a…”

“Son of a what” smirks HanBin. “Give it back.”

“Alright, alright, fine, I’ll give it back. Here”

Hands MiHyun the teddy bear and quickly runs away.

HanBin helps her up.

“Are you alright” asks HanBin

“I…think I’m okay, thank you” says MiHyun.

“You shouldn’t let boys like him bully you.” Says HanBin. “Where your brother to protect you?”

“I……don’t have a brother.” MiHyun says quietly. “I’m an only child.”

“Oh…I see” says HanBin. “Do you live around here?”

“Yes” answers MiHyun. “We’re new to the neighborhood. So…I don’t know anybody.”

“Huh…I see, I see” says HanBin. “Alright den, since you have no bro, I’ll be your oppa. As your oppa, the first thing I’ll do is promise to always watch over you.”

*Flashback Ends*

“And you still kept that promise even today” laugh MiHyun.

“Hey, a promise is a promise…right?” asks HanBin.

“Yeah, I was just joking, your so easily oppa” laughs MiHyun.

HanBin laughs

Just then, MiHyun cell phone rings. She picks it up.

MiHyun talks as Hanbin tries to eavesdrop. She smacks him in the head for trying.

“Hello?” answer MiHyun. “Oh hi dad, you need something? Oh…ic, okay then.”

“Its my dad, he wants me to go home. He says he has something important to tell me and also you too…strange” says MiHyun

“Oh, alright den, I’ll walk you home” says HanBin

Chapter 2

MiHyun and HanBin are walking back to MiHyun’s house after hearing that her father has something important to tell her.

“Hey MiHyun” says HanBin

“Eh?” replies MiHyun

“What did he want to talk about that is important?” asks HanBin

“I don’t know, but you know, it’s the strangest thing, why would he need to talk to you?.” says MiHyun

“Huh…dats strange” replies HanBin

*HanBin thinks in his head*

Da hell is he up to? He’s up to something…I can feel it.

*Stop*

They arrive at MiHyun’s house. HanBin looks at the house, it was old and time has ravaged it to an extent. But ironically, the inside was full of life and color. HanBin shivers as he enters the house. For he and MiHyun’s father never looked eye to eye at each other.

“Dad, what’s so important that you had to drag me back home?” asks MiHyun

“Well actually, I need to have a quick talk with HanBin first. MiHyun, please go to your room.” he says

“O….kay?” says MiHyun in a suspicious voice

She leaves for her room. Her mother stands up from her chair, checking to make sure MiHyun doesn’t overhear.

“Now, HanBin, we’ve never…talked…have we?” he asks

HanBin raises an eyebrow

“No…we haven’t…sir?” replies HanBin

“Please…just call me JinHyun” he says with suavity

“O…kay” HanBin says suspiciously

*HanBin thinks*

Wats he’s up to? And why is he being so nice?

*Stop*

JinHyun sighs and looks down, then looks up “I’ll be frank…do you love my daughter?”

With a perplexed look, he replies“Uh…yes, I do, why do you ask?”

“Well, first of all, let me ask this. You want my daughter to have a happy life…correct?” he asks

“Of course I do” he replies

“Then will you object if I…marry MiHyun to someone?” he says

“Say what!!!” Hanbin yells

Immediately, JinHyun jumps out of his chair and puts his hands over HanBin mouth and shoves him back into his seat.

“Shhh, keep your voice down, or else MiHyun will hear. Now listen, we both want MiHyun to have a good life. Look at what I have; I own a small store that barely makes any profits. I had to take a loan from the bank to pay for it and we’re in debt. But man that wants to marry her is rich. He can afford MiHyun a better house and all of that, don’t you want that for her?” he says

“Oh…I see what you mean, but…I love her” HanBin sadly says

“Please, break-up with her and forget her. Please! I beg of you” he begs

HanBin sighs

“I…I can’t think about this right now, I need some air” he says

He walks for the door.

“One more thing” he adds

HanBin turns his head to his shoulder…listening.

“If you do leave her, you must never see her again. If you do, you will be nothing but pain to MiHyun” he says

Heres chapter #3, warning, its sad

Chapter 3

HanBin is about to leave as MiHyun’s father tells him the news.

HanBin was shocked to hear this.

“What?” “I can’t just…leave her...” he says

HanBin shuts the door.

“I know you don’t want to leave, but…” replies JinHyun

“But what?” he asks

“It just…you have to leave, if you don’t leave. It will just cause problems for MiHyun and her husband. She will be remembered of her feelings for you, and that will hurt her. Do you really want to do that?” JinHyun asks

HanBin looks disturbed by such an unbelievable thing.

“You’re really unbelievable, what about MiHyun, have you thought of what she thinks about this marriage” he asks

JinHyun sighs

“I know, but trust me, I know my daughter, and she will do what I tell her to do. She will do what’s best for our family” he says sadly

“Even though you’re her father, it doesn’t mean that you can decide on this without MiHyun” HanBin says

“Actually, that’s also what I wanted to talk to you about also….MiHyun…” JinHyun says

HanBin gets angry

“MiHyun what!” he says angrily

JinHyun sighs again

“MiHyun has…agreed…to it…” JinHyun says

HanBin’s eyes widen as he hears this.

“She’s WHAT!!!” HanBin yells “When did this happen?”

“She agreed a week ago, but she was waiting for the right time to tell you” he says
With all the noise coming from the living room, MiHyun comes out from her room.

“Hey, what’s will all the noise” MiHyun asks

“Why didn’t you tell me?” HanBin yells

MiHyun looked confused at this unexpected question

“What?” she asks

“That you agreed to the marriage you dad set-up!” HanBin yells again

MiHyun mouth sadly drops down. She quickly runs and hugs HanBin. She starts to cry.

“I’m sorry” MiHyun crys

Angry, HanBin shoves MiHyun away and she falls to the ground.

“I’m sorry HanBin, I just…wanted to have my family lead a better life. Look at our house, we live in almost poverty, and I can’t bare to have my parents live like this” MiHyun says as she cries

She puts both hands on her face.

“But you should of told me, I would have understood” he replies

He walks for the door. MiHyun quickly follows him outside. And her father sighs and looks at the ground.

“HanBin wait!” MiHyun yells

HanBin doesn’t listen and continue to walk down the street. Just then, a car drives by and 2 guys with their faces covered opens fire on the street. HanBin doesn’t realizes it before its too late. But MiHyun runs and pushes him out of the way. She gets shot and falls to the ground. The car drives quickly away. HanBin runs to MiHyun.

He picks her up

“MiHyun! MiHyun! Wake up MiHyun!” he yells

MiHyun says softly “I’m…sorry…you’re right…I should of…told you.” Her eyes closes

“No….MiHyun! Wake up! Don’t die! MiHyun!” HanBin yells
