Epik High
Epik High is Korean hip-hop group known for hit songs like "Fly," "Day of Peace," and "Paris." The group was unknown to many Koreans in beginning of their careers, due to the lack of popularity of hip-hop music in Korea. However with the success of their recent third album they have became one of the most popular singing groups in Korea. Epik High's third album title song "Fly" was a big hit in Korea, becoming the number-one song on many Korean TV music programs and online music charts. The leader of the group, Tablo is known in Korea not only for his appearance in Korean sitcoms, Nonstop5, and other variety show programs but also for his Master's degree in English Literature from Stanford University (CA).

Epik High's 3rd music infusion!
Composed of three members, Tablo, Mithra and DJ Tukutz, Epik High is a hip-hop group with a perfect format of two MCs and one DJ. Their music is known to be as lyrical as a piece of literature and at the same time very witty and paradoxical. All three members of the band are singers and song-writers. Starting with composing melodies, the three members are all capable of writing lyrics and song arrangements. With their first album “Map pf the Human Soul” released earlier in 2004, the hip-hop band became popular immediately. Their 2nd album “High Society” was released in October the same year also receiving great response from pop music lovers.
The explosive K-pop band consisting of Tablo a.k.a. Lee Sun Oong, Mithra a.k.a. Choi Jin, and DJ Tukutz a.k.a. Kim Jung Shik are back with the follow up LP to their exceptional '04 release High Society that featured their smash hits Lesson 2 and "Day of Peace".
Epik High's latest highly anticipated album comes jam-packed with 16 sizzling tunes with more of the energetic trio's absorbing rhythms. Music lovers of all tastes should be positively delighted by the music-oriented boys' exciting mixture of hip hop, electronica, rock, folk, rhythm and blues plus jazz as well other addictive elements. DJ Tukutz (Jung-Shik Kim, 김정식). Born on November 19, 1981.
First got into DJ-ing in the summer of ’95 while spending his time at illegal raves and warehouse parties, where his passion for the scene and music began. He started playing at local raves and parties in Japan's underground Hip-Hop scene, before moving up to South Korea in 2000 to attend the Technics DJ School. After returning from the academy, he hooked up with Tablo and headed to the states. He worked and DJ-ed on radio shows, live events and clubs around the Boston and NYC area.

Mithra Jin
Mithra Jin (Jin Choi, 최진). Born on January 6, 1983.
The mighty Mithra Jin, a.k.a. Choi Jin, was originally a poet whose poems also worked as rhymes. Park emceeing and poetry readings were the first places where he met his future partner Tablo. They were introduced by a mutual friend and clicked right away because each other's style of poetic rhymes was comparable.

Tablo
Tablo (Sun-Woong Lee, 이선웅). Born on July 22, 1980. Attended: Stanford University in California, USA.
Tablo was a big Hip-Hop fan ever since he could remember, listening to old Run-DMC and Cold Crush tapes and always rhyming around the way in South Korea. But there was one emcee who inspired him to take it seriously. After he heard Drunken Tiger rapping, he became part of a group called Epik High in 2000 and also claimed to be the first emcee to invent the rhyming rifle. In the fickle world of Hip-Hop, Tablo kept his name alive over the years by doing shows and various cameos with the EPMD.
